| Hard work has proven success. The Eisenberg family
has invested over 30 years of firsthand experience in the crafts business as both
wholesale and retail crafters in small shows, major exhibits and full-scale crafts
tradeshows. We opened our doors with just two
rooms and ten crafters five years ago. Now the building is ours and we have over 4,000
square feet of display space, utilizing 12 rooms, and countless hallways, doorways,
stairways and closets to provide customers a memorable shopping experience worthy or
repeat visits and recommendations. Crafts are on display indoors and out, year round, as
eye candy for shoppers young and old.
In our expansion, we've generated 25% more in sales from one
year to the next, the minimum increase projected for this year.
Our store is the only Milford stop for several shopping tours
that arrive by the bus-full. Storefront shopping is not only fun in the area . . . it is
essential. There is a 30 mile radius to the closest malls, so local shoppers love the
convenience of shopping our store and knowing that we have "that perfect gift".
Customers make return trips as a result of the quality and
variation of crafts that we have in the store. In addition, the warm way in which they are
greeted and dealt with is another reason they come back. We offer free gift wrapping and
have on-site shipping, honor all major credit cards and ATM transactions and have a
lay-away program.
Many of our artisans sell exclusively at The Craft Show as we have provided them with the
optimal display, service and vehicle for sales available.
Crafters with similar wares are waitlisted to prevent
duplicate styles from being showcased at the same time.
Out-of-area crafters are provided with free display design
and construction, maintenance and shelf stocking.
Regularly wholesale crafters have included our store to boost
their sales. We provide an excellent outlet in an area where you may not have a dealer as
well as the opportunity to sell the same items for an average 30% over wholesale prices.
Restocking keeps our store exciting and we receive packages
from UPS and the Postal Service daily. We encourage crafters to visit, call or email
periodically for store updates.
Sales reports are available on a daily basis. We invite you
to call Monday through Thursday for an update and we will call those artists whose
displays are in need of replenishment or have particular items that are in great demand.
Rent is taken directly from monthly sales. Your check and
sales summary is available by the fourth day or each month in the store and checks are
mailed in bulk on the tenth.
Our ad campaign includes radio play, television commercials,
web-based advertisement and print. Promotion of the store is extended into the local
community through our donations of gift certificates to charities and organizations. In
turn, over $1,000 was brought back to our crafters in1998 when these certificates were
redeemed.
